The city comes alive in spring, especially when viewed from a garden-side table. Walk the seawall (or drive) to discover the Sequoia Grill (pictured) in Stanley Park, set on a grassy slope above Ferguson Point. Head to aptly named Horizons to savour West Coast fare on top of Burnaby Mountain, with rose gardens behind and a dramatic view of Burrard Inlet beyond. Or hide yourself away for Sunday brunch at Hart House, a quiet, mock-Tudor haven in the midst of Burnaby’s verdant Deer Lake Park.
