A Manitoba Opera production, this Italian composition’s deeply moving arias are set in a 16th-century court. A dark story of murder and vengeance unfolds as the daughter of a jester ignites a romantic spark in the heart of a womanizing duke. JAN 28-FEB 3 Icelandic composers are the focus at the 21st Annual International New Music Festival. Seven evenings of new works by contemporary composers are performed by the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra.
