The national mint fabricates circulation coins and related products for the world market, including collector coinage, medallions, medals, tokens, and bullion coins. It also operates the oldest gold refinery in the western hemisphere. Boutique on site. Guided tours. Until Sept. 6: Open Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm; weekends, 9am to 4.30pm. From Sept. 6 to Victoria Day (closed Christmas and New Year's Day), open 9am to 4pm. Weekday tours: $5; children: $3; seniors: $4. Weekend tours: $3.50; children: $2; seniors: $2.80.
