Wynton Marsalis Jazz at Lincoln Centre Orchestra Toronto

Wynton Marsalis

JANUARY 30  Swing enthusiasts rejoice as the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis once again finds its groove in Toronto. Heralded by the Daily Telegraph as the “finest big band in the world today,” the 15-piece ensemble is also one of the globe’s hardest working groups, spending more than a third of each year on the road. Led by artistic director and trumpet legend Marsalis, the orchestra presents a program of favourites by the likes of Duke Ellington and Mary Lou Williams as well as original arrangements. Massey Hall, 8 p.m., $39.50 to $99.50; call 416-872-4255 or click here to purchase tickets.  Eva Voinigescu
