A new boutique is adding a bit of whimsy to the quaint Summerhill neighbourhood and the historic Edwardian homes that populate it. Room 2046 bears the retail fruits of owner Kumala Nio’s international travels, with products including Kulkith footwear from Indonesia, Bob Carpenter shirts from France, suede handbags by Italy’s 72 Smalldive, men’s shoes by Singapore brand Sifr, and even some Canadian representation by way of Victor Banks bow ties. Grab a cup of coffee—a little in-house café brews locally roasted beans—and peruse the curated gallery-shop.
