Hot Dining: Go Modish Western at Weslodge Saloon

These days, not even the condo-dwelling, lounge-loving crowd of the King West district is immune from the trappings of hipsterdom. Witness Weslodge Saloon: the recently opened dining and late-night joint makes no bones about enticing the city’s high rollers, but it does so with a hinterland-hearkening theme—mounted animal heads on the walls, throwback bar stools, rawhide-accented servers—and decidedly old-fashioned cocktails. The lunch, dinner and brunch menus carry the western-with-a-twist motif, too, with the likes of a bourbon-fried cornish hen ($22), bison striploin with green olive tabbouleh ($26) and venison chop with pine nut hummus ($34).  —Craig Moy
