There’s certainly no shortage of rustic Italian restaurants in this city, but we’re willing to make room for newcomers when their quality is as high as Gusto 101. A spiffily remodeled auto body shop in the fashionable King West district now houses an open kitchen with wood-fired grill, a basement winery and many guests feasting on such Southern Italian dishes as ricotta and spinach ravioli ($14.95), grilled branzino ($24.95) and, of course, a shortlist of pizzas. In a nod to the restaurant’s trendy surroundings, chef Daniel Mezzolo and his team even offer a late-night menu, available from 11:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.
