Nik Wallenda’s Historic Niagara Falls Tightrope Walk
Watch the first-ever attempt to cross Niagara Falls on a high wire here live on Friday, June 15 beginning at 8 pm ET!
Nik Wallenda—a high-wire performer and seventh-generation member of the Flying Wallenda family of acrobats, aerialists and trapeze artists—is fulfilling a lifelong dream by attempting to walk a two-inch steel wire over Niagara Falls.
The wire stretches 1,800 feet across the brink of the falls between the U.S. and Canada, and is 200 feet high.
If Wallenda is successful, he’ll be the first to ever cross a tightrope over the falls and the first in more than 100 years to cross the Niagara gorge.
