Vancouver’s 400-ha (1,000-acre) park was named for Lord Stanley in 1888 when he was Governor General of Canada. Locals and visitors get back to nature, walking, biking or blading the 8-km (5-mi) seawall and taking in spectacular scenery. Major park attractions include the Vancouver Aquarium, rose garden, totem poles, Lost Lagoon and Siwash Rock (year-round). Horse-drawn tours 604-681-5115 (Mar-Oct).
