Where Profile

Travel within Toronto by public transit using subways, buses and streetcars. Day passes and single-ride tickets or tokens are sold at subway stations and some convenience stores. A family or day pass for unlimited travel is $10.50 (good after 9:30 a.m. weekdays and Sat. for one adult, and Sun. and holidays for combinations of up to two adults with four children); adult cash fare is $3 and exact change is required. Pick up transfers when you first board the vehicle.

The subway is composed of four lines: the Yonge-University-Spadina line, which runs north-south; the Bloor-Danforth line, which runs east-west; the newly opened Sheppard line in the north end; and the Scarborough LRT in the east end. For wheelchair users, there are specially equipped Wheel-Trans buses, but you must make a booking in advance; call 416-393-4222.
