This former home of Senator James Lougheed is now a public heritage centre, featuring historic exhibits, artwork and collections. A designated National Historic site, this 1891 mansion has been carefully restored to High Victorian eclecticism, and can be explored on your own or with an interpreter. The 2.8 acre estate also features the lovely Beaulieu Gardens, The Restaurant at Lougheed House, and the Treasures Gift Shop. ABOUT US

Built in 1891 and originally known as Beaulieu, the French for beautiful place, Lougheed House is now a National Historic Site located in the Beltline district of Calgary, Alberta. Today many thousands of visitors from around the world come to view and explore the building.

MISSION

To preserve, restore and interpret the culture and heritage embodied in Lougheed House.
