Halifax Common
Originally laid out in 1762 for the "common use of the inhabitants of peninsular Halifax," today it's Canada’s oldest city park and serves as a major recreational area. Children clamber about the large playground and athletes of all ages can be seen every fine day, playing baseball, football, soccer and other sports till dark on the wide open spaces. Average duration of visit: half an hour. Bordered by Robie, Cogswell and North Park streets.
