Explore Canmore's railway and coal mining history through artifacts, photographs and videos. The Geoscience Centre has displays and videos describing the formation of the Rockies, Rat’s Nest Cave, the Devonian reef, fossils and Canmore coal. Summer: Interactive displays for kids and summer programs such as Stones & Bones 1-week geology camps (ages 10-12), half day science camp Diggin' Rocks (ages 6-9), geological tours and Geoscience Open House. GST-free shop with gifts, books, rocks, fossils, educational toys and archival reproductions. Grant Mossop Research Library. Late May-Sept 7: M/Tue noon-5 pm, W-Sun 10 am-5 pm.
