Permanent exhibitions include Innovation Canada, the Locomotive Hall, Canada in Space, and more. Ongoing: "In Search of the Canadian Car" examines what makes a car Canadian and how the national identity of a car is defined by its design, fabrication, and marketing. Also on view: The museum's collection has been mined for treasures that help to tell the story of Canadian electric and electronic communications in "Connexions." Museum-goers can explore the evolution of communications through television, telephones, telecommunications, and broadcasting.

On view: As we grow increasingly aware of our impact on the planet’s resources, energy — where it comes from and how we use it — is becoming progressively more important. The new permanent exhibition "Energy: Power to Change" focuses on the impacts that our energy production and consumption have on society, the economy, and the environment, and how we can help to make things better.

Special events: April 13: Explore the different ways the sun and stars can help us to tell time with "It’s About Time." April 14 and 15: Learn all about the Titanic and why it sank with "Titanic Revisited." A six-metre model of the great ship will be on hand. April 28: Celebrate National Astronomy Day with activities for all ages, including stargazing and observatory tours.

$9; seniors and students: $6; children (four to 14): $4; children three and under: free; families: $20. Until April 2: Open Tuesday to Sunday, 9am to 5pm (closed Mondays except for Holiday Mondays). April 2 to Sept. 3 (Labour Day): Open daily, 9am to 5pm.
