Up to 55 m (180 ft) deep, the canyon is ringed by trails and intersected by six footbridges—Parks Canada signs interpret this natural phenomenon. You can access the canyon from the 6th Bridge (Map 5, 2M) or 5th Bridge (Map 5, 4M), but most people park at the Maligne Canyon Restaurant (Map 5, 4O) and stroll 15 minutes across 1st and 2nd Bridges. To walk the entire route takes about an hour one-way.
