Berg Lake Trail

World-class trail begins 45 min west of Jasper. Trek past old growth cedars, alongside Kinney Lake and through the Valley of 1000 Falls to the trail’s namesake, ringed by glaciers. Mt Robson’s south, west and north faces come into view. Often a 2-day backpack, reasonably fit day trippers can helicopter in Fri or Mon (Tues on long weekends) with Robson Helimagic (p xxx) and walk 24 km (15 mi) out in 6 to 8 hours.
