One hour south of Jasper beside the 230 km (143 mi) Icefields Pkwy is the Columbia Icefield, one of the largest accumulations of ice south of the Arctic. Take a guided tour on the glacier by foot or Ice Explorer. Caution: unguided walks on the Icefield can be dangerous.
