How did you become a jewellery designer?
I studied painting and sculpture at the Ontario College of Art and Design. I took a course [on jewellery] because I always had an interest. As a child I would wear my rosary as an accessory—even before Madonna! I fell in love with the process of carving wax, casting it into metal and soldering. As my skills improved, I knew that I had to do this for a living so I went to George Brown College and became a goldsmith. What do you draw inspiration from?
Nature, architecture, fantasy, history, fashion, my clients. What famous individual would you like to see wear your jewellery?
Kristen Stewart from the movies Twilight and New Moon because she is exceptionally beautiful and she would make my jewellery look even better! Where to Buy: Linda Penwarden Jewellery
