Restaurateurs Guido Saldini and Elena Morelli have cultivated a clientele of discerning Toronto diners for nearly two decades at their Trinity Bellwoods–neighbourhood restaurant, Noce. Now the pair, along with chef Eron Novalski, brings their lauded menu of Italian favourites to burgeoning Maple Leaf Square. Located at the base of the gleaming Telus Tower, Aria padds contemporary flair to old world–influenced fare, from an indispensible tomato and imported buffalo mozzarella salad ($18) to roasted Ontario quail with bone marrow polenta ($32). Huge floor-to-ceiling windows, sculptural chandeliers and a striking red-and-white colour scheme do much to enhance the open dining room’s downtown flavour.
