Needlework is not just for granny anymore. Newcomers to the craft can sign up for a three-hour crash course on crochet at The Knit Café and learn how to handle a hook by stitching a crochet rosette. Advanced knitters can sign up for project-based courses and create scarves, sweaters and mittens.
