Mountain Galleries at the Fairmont was founded in 1992 in Jasper Alberta by artist/filmmaker Wendy Wacko. It has since grown to be one of the largest commercial galleries in Western Canada with locations in Banff, Jasper & Whistler Resort, showing collections from major and mid-career artists. All three gallery locations too have an "artist in residence program" which provides studio space and accommodation for gallery artists.
