Malaysian Airlines bans babies from first-class
Tengku Azmil, chief executive for Malaysian Airlines confirmed that infants are no longer allowed to fly in the first-class section of the company’s airplanes, after receiving complaints from passengers that the crying was keeping them awake.
Hidden card charges for travel tickets to be banned
Travel companies have been ordered by the Office of Fair Trading to end the use of hidden surcharges for passengers paying by card. Airline, ferry and rail passengers typically have to click through four to six pages of an online booking before the charge is added to the price.
Facebook tool allows users to find cheap flights through their profiles
Flight comparison site Skyscanner has debuted a new tool that allows Facebook users to post flight queries using the popular social networking site. The tool allows travellers to post simple flight search queries on their profile. After the message is sent, Skyscanner’s system searches for the cheapest flights and posts them as a profile comment.
