Tired of your regular winter routine? Head to the Cultch and revive your spirits with the delightfully cracked humour of Ronnie Burkett’s puppet show The Daisy Theatre (to Dec 15). Influenced by Parisian cabaret and the illegal theatres of Nazi-occupied Czechoslovakia, the show is acted out by comical marionettes and changes gears every night. Each spontaneous spectacle is loosely structured around a rotation of new selected playlets written by nine renowned Canadian playwrights. Audiences can expect absurd characters, musical numbers, morality tales and lots of improvisation.
