Eagle-eyed visitors spot plenty of raptors during the 25th annual Brackendale Bald Eagle Festival & Count, on through Jan. in nearby Brackendale, which bills itself as the world’s eagle capital. On Jan. 9, 1994, volunteers counted 3,769 bald eagles—a world record.—Sheri Radford
