It may be artist Michael Massie’s birthday, but we get the gift: seeing dozens of his new teapots during 50@50—Celebration of Metal and Stone at Spirit Wrestler Gallery (Oct. 27 to Nov. 17). Massie draws on his Inuit, Métis and Scottish heritage to come up with his fantastical vessels that incorporate Inuit imagery with contemporary materials such as metal and mahogany (“a piece about…conversation,” pictured).—Kristina Urquhart
