Yaletown’s recently unveiled GoodWolfe is a relaxing bastion of good flavour, courtesy of globetrotting wine guy Richard Goodine and foraging chef-about-town Josh Wolfe. Early faves include house-cured steelhead pastrami, braised beef cheek, marinated artichokes with kale crisps and chevre-and-Philly béchamel, and superb coarse terrine with delicious homemade blueberry mustard. The goodness extends to desserts—try the irresistible dark chocolate pudding with fruit—while the blackboard back wall sports a “living wine list” complete with fun graffiti and wine tips.
