If you’re planning to attend one of Canada’s largest annual events, the Calgary Stampede, this year, you’d better book your hotel room now, says the CBC.
Apparently, some hotels are already at near capacity for the first weekend of the event, which takes place July 6 through 15.
The Calgary Parking Authority is gearing up for the event by pushing for gate- and ticket-free parking at the Stampede, and instead using a ParkPlus system that involves payment kiosks and allows cell-phone payments.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of Calgary’s so-called Greatest Show on Earth, a two-week extravaganza of steer-roping, barrel racing, rides, country music performances, agricultural exhibits and more.
