When was the last time you heard a commercial aircraft described as sexy? Probably pretty recently if you’ve been following the sleek, high-tech Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Even books have been written about this $200 million aircraft.
So we were a bit jealous that our friends over at TorontoLife.com got to take a tour of Air Canada’s new Dreamliner, but we’ll refer you to their fab slideshow nonetheless.
The jet, which made its maiden voyage back in October (one ticket went for a cool $33K), will fly the friendly Canadian skies in 2014.
Among its many sweet bells and whistles are:
- 30% larger-than-average “smart glass” windows that darken at the touch of a button
- significantly more passenger-friendly (i.e. lower) air pressure and humidity levels than on standard aircraft
- the largest overhead compartments of any commercial planes in operation
- more than 7 feet of overhead clearance in first class and 6 feet 2 inches in coach
And how about those hot-pink pillows?
