On Friday, September 7, visit the Calgary Farmers’ Market in the city’s southwest for the Sundown Chowdown. A competition between local vendors and 12 food trucks will take place, with winners selected by a panel of local celebrity judges, including Where contributing editor, author and restaurant critic John Gilchrist. Village Brewery will be on hand serving refreshing brews. The event is free and runs 5 pm – 9 pm. Visitors will also have the opportunity to win a block party catered by their favourite participating truck. - Adele Brunnhofer
