Known as “the guy that taught Metallica’s Kirk Hammett how to play guitar,” Grammy nominee Joe Satriani brings his face-melting live show to Calgary as part of his Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards world tour. Satriani weaves soaring instrumentals dipped in a healthy dose of science fiction, all out of his signature Ibanez JS series guitar. As one of the most accomplished guitarists of all-time, guitar geeks will marvel at Satriani’s complex techniques, like his lightning-quick legato or two-handed tapping effects.
